Everything is hard and you need to choose your hard (no other way around)
There's nothing easy, as they say
To become an IPL cricketer is thousand times harder than cracking JEE and IIT.
—Ashneer Grover (Founder of Bharat Pe)
Waking up early is hard.
Doing vital tasks is hard.
Cooking a good meal is hard.
Solving a problem is hard.
Life is hard.
Life is way harder than you think.
It is not about cracking JEE or IIT or becoming an IPL cricketer.
These are just words to influence and attract you, so you get overwhelmed reading them. Remember them for a few hours or a day, and then forget what has been actually said.
Life is hard, and so everything is hard. Living in this world is hard. Surviving here on Earth is hard. Making money is hard. Maintaining relationships is hard. Taking care of your health is hard. Working is hard.
You see, everything is hard here, and so you have to do the hard. There’s no other choice. There’s no easy way around. You need to do the hard.
Today I am going to share with you all about choosing your hard. Here we go.
What to do if something doesn’t seem hard?
Starting is hard. Starting again is harder.
—Mel Robbins
Listen, I am not here to make you afraid of your life, but I want you to know the truth of life, which is, as Mel Robbins, the author of The Five Second Rule, has said, “Starting is hard. Starting again is harder.”
Have you ever experienced waking up early as hard many times? Let’s say you wake up on time on the first day, but the day after, it feels way harder.
If that doesn’t feel harder to you anymore, then I would like to praise you because you’ve mastered waking up early.
But again, here’s the gist: Try it the harder way.
Look, I am happy for you. You’ve mastered waking up early, but what if you haven’t mastered it in every way? Which is the gist as well. Try it the harder way. Master it in every way.
If you’re sleeping for 6 or 8 hours and waking up on time. Try sleeping for 4 hours and waking up on time.
If you succeed with this, I will again praise you and maybe buy you the best chicken roll or whatever you want. Plus, you will also feel superior and great about yourself.
I am repeating it, “Try it the harder way.”
What to do if something seems way harder than you think?
We, humans, all came into this world to have some struggles in our lives. We are born to do hard things.
But, with that, we also have the power to choose which struggles or hard we should face or do.
That’s where the gist belongs. The power to choose which hard to do.
So, if waking up early is way harder than anything for you, then you don’t have to wake up early. You have the power to choose your hard. In fact, you have to choose the hard that feels better.
You don’t have to wake up early. You can wake up on your own time. But, after waking up, you need to do the hard that makes you better.
Now, when something seems way harder, you don’t have to do that hard. You can choose your hard. You have the power.
Repeating it, “You have the power to choose your own hard.”
Final thoughts: Have some powerful struggles
I want to tell you that life is unpredictable, and if it is unpredictable, you can’t rely on what you do daily.
You need to do something different, something new, something interesting, and something challenging. Daily.
Over the all, I am telling you to explore the hard. See, how much you can put yourself in the hard. Put yourself in it.
Explore hard. Experience hard. Live hard. Because that’s what life is. Life is hard. It’s harder than you think. It will always be difficult; the hard will always be there.
So, why not embrace that instead of worrying about how hard life is?
Less is hard, hard is more. There's nothing something like 'easy' at all.
